Free bushfire information session & planning workshop in Dimbulah

Learn how to create a fire management plan for your property at a free property fire management planning workshop in Dimbulah.

You are invited to come along to a free property Fire Information Night and Fire Management Planning Workshop and learn how to create a fire management plan for your property.

Fire Information Session will share information about the role of fire in the Australian landscape, fire planning for private property, emergency planning, local laws, vegetation management, and the conservation of plants and animals.

The Fire Management Planning Workshop will provide information to landholders and guidance on creating individual property fire management plans. These plans will aim to mitigate the risks associated with bushfires, with a specific focus on helping communities in safeguarding individual properties. Maps will be provided for properties.

Representatives from the Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium, Gulf Savannah NRM, Rural Fire Service Queensland will share information about their roles and offer advice about planning for the approaching fire season.

Minimum requirements for the Fire Management Planning Workshop Attendees, attendance at the Fire Information Session is a requirement, your property must be in the Dimbulah area, and over 1.5 hectares, unless the property is next to or adjoining a very large natural area.
