Jørgen Schmidt, Manager - Partnerships
Jørgen Schmidt leads the Healthy Land & Water team of partnership managers, as well as supporting strategic partners with impactful projects that deliver triple bottom-line benefits for all stakeholders involved.
In his role as Manager - Partnerships, Jørgen combines his experience in both environmental management and stakeholder engagement, focusing on identifying opportunities for collaboration with government, academia, philanthropy, corporations and environmental organisations.
Jørgen is positioned to drive this function for Healthy Land & Water, having over a decade of experience in business development and client relationship management, followed by a career in ecological restoration, biodiversity offsetting and environmental management. His recent career involved field work across New Zealand and Queensland landscapes which has given him an understanding of Australasian unique environs and its challenges.
With an expanding skillset in emerging environmental markets, Jørgen is passionate about closing the gap between the region’s environmental challenges and the increasing demand in environmental impact investing. He will work across all functions of the organisation to strengthen stakeholder engagement to facilitate this growth strategy for Healthy Land & Water with existing and prospective strategic partners.
