SEQ on display at the United Nations Climate Change Conference
Australia’s Regional NRM organisations were on display at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 29) in Baku, Azerbaijan this month.
Healthy Land & Water featured in two great videos produced by NRM Regions Australia and funded by the Australia Government.
The videos highlight the crucial role regional NRM organisations play in understanding climate change impacts to inform investment; addressing climate change impacts and biodiversity loss through integrated solutions; and building climate resilience and reducing risk from extreme events.
These videos highlight the efforts of NRM organisations, including Healthy Land & Water in addressing climate change impacts through innovative programs such as waterway monitoring and the ENVestor nature repair investment program. They also showcase how we’re working with First Nations Peoples and Traditional Owners to build resilience to climate change.
By focusing on these initiatives, we’re working to inform and guide investment in projects that mitigate climate change and restore natural ecosystems.
