A great new free resource has been published on reducing the risks of fire near powerlines, while helping protect local biodiversity.

Landholders are encouraged to be aware of these hazards when planning and conducting burns.

The fact sheet shows how landholders can actively take safety precautions around powerline easements and improve fire safety. It is designed to assist landholders when conducting planned burns by providing important safety advice for managing fires near powerlines.

It has been developed by Healthy Land & Water's Queensland Fire & Biodiversity Consortium team, in collaboration with long-time partners, Powerlink Queensland.
