
Find a frog in February
If you live, work, or play in Gympie, Noosa, the Fraser Coast, or the Sunshine Coast, you can sign up to be part of the Find a Frog in February program!
The Mary River Catchment Coordinating Committee (MRCCC) is entering its ninth year of collecting valuable data to monitor frog populations. They’re calling on citizen scientists or ‘froggers’ to observe and report frogs in your area, helping to keep these important creatures safe and healthy.
By sharing information about frog locations and their habitats, the team can better manage the environment and protect frog populations for the future.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Download the FFF record sheet at mrccc.org.au/frog-in-february, complete it, and send in your photos for identification and verification. Your data will be added to the Queensland WildNet database.
- Email your photos and/or audio recordings to

- Join the Find a Frog in Feb – MRCCC group on the FrogID app to submit your frog call recordings.
