Are you bushfire prepared? FREE information sessions for residents of Scenic Rim Regional Council
Learn how to create a fire management plan for your property at a free property fire information session and fire management plan workshop. Scenic Rim Regional Council is partnering with the Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium with assistance from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to present two separate sessions, a fire information session and a property workshop at Rathdowney on Sunday 5 June. In order to attend the workshop component, you must RSVP with your property details and attend the info session component.
Fire Information Session
DATE: Sunday 5 May 2022, 9:00am – 10:30am
Agencies will share information about their roles and offer advice about planning for the fire season, local laws, vegetation management, and the conservation of plants and animals. Includes morning tea.
Fire Property Management Workshop
DATE: Sunday 5 May 2022, 11:00am – 4:00pm
Will focus on managing fires on individual properties (limited to property size, see registration page for details)
Attendees will receive:
- Property maps.
- Property fire planning kit.
- Tools to create the plan.
- Personalised property fire management advice.
- Lunch.
