DO YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR BUSHFIRE?
Are you bushfire prepared? FREE information sessions for residents of Clear Mountain.
Learn how to create a fire management plan for your property at a free property fire information session and fire management planning workshop.
Attendees will receive information and guidance on creating individual property fire management plans, which aim to mitigate the risks associated with bushfires, with a specific focus on helping communities in safeguarding individual properties.
Representatives from the Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium (QFBC), Moreton Bay Regional Council, and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services will share information about their roles and offer advice about planning for the approaching fire season. Local laws, vegetation management, fire and grazing, fire and timber production and the conservation of plants and animals will also be discussed.
Minimum requirements for the planning workshop is 1.5 hectares unless the property is next to or adjoining a very large natural area. In order to attend the workshop component, you must RSVP with your property details, and attend the information session component.
