Healthy Land and Water is supporting the Emu Creek Catchment Landcare Group to deliver a Fire Management Planning day, taking place at 9:30am – 3pm on August 15 at the Pinelands Hall. The planning day will increase landholder’s awareness and knowledge of how to prepare for and manage fire on their properties and surrounding landscape. Attendees will develop Property Fire Management Plans on the day.
Presenters Michael Patch (formerly QFES) and Bruce Lord (Healthy Land and Water) will provide information on:
• Understanding fire behaviour
• Roles and responsibilities
• Managing fire for conservation and production
• Preparation and protection – firelines, water supply and fire-fighting
