Dr Michele BurfordDr Michele Burford is a Professor at the Australian Rivers Institute at Griffith University who undertakes research in marine and freshwater systems. Her team works throughout subtropical and tropical Australia and overseas on issues relating to water quality with a focus on algal blooms and nutrients.

Michele is also the Dean (Research Infrastructure) for Griffith University and is responsible for taking a strategic approach to integrating, supporting, and developing research infrastructure within the university.
