Dr Cuong Tran - Science Committee

Dr Cuong Tran is a Climate Change expert with extensive expertise in bushfire management, fire ecology, and fire behaviour as well as in improving carbon & environmental outcomes by using smarter business-orientated techniques.

Dr Tran has recently joined Aurecon as a Principal in Sustainability and Climate Change and is the General Manager of Covalent Land Australia. These two roles see him developing high-integrity carbon projects, focusing on environmental plantings and natural capital.

In his past professional experiences, he has demonstrated incredible skills while working with holistic and integrated land/estate management for public and private landholders, continuing to enhance environmental outcomes using smarter business-orientated techniques, and managing bushfires for risk management and ecological fire regimes by total integration of landscape and risk inputs.

Dr Tran is Interested in the interactions between fire & weed ecology and in working for sustainable landscapes as a lasting legacy!
