Financial assistance is now available for primary producers impacted by South East Queensland storms.

If your farm has been impacted by the recent South East Queensland storms, you can now apply for financial assistance that includes concessional loans to help you with your business recovery.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria should take photographs of the damage to accompany their application and ensure these images are date-stamped to verify that the harm resulted from the recent natural disaster.

Primary producers can report damage or losses via the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Disaster Impact Survey. These reports play a crucial role in assessing whether additional assistance is necessary to support the recovery needs of SEQ industries.

Additional assistance and support available to eligible people in disaster activated areas include:

• Personal hardship assistance.
• Reconnection of essential services (e.g. electricity, gas, water, sewerage).
• Free mental health and wellbeing support.
• Free financial counselling.
