
Be a landcare leader: Call for abstracts for the 2025 National Landcare Conference now open
Calling all landcare leaders! Do you have a story to tell? Take to the stage and shared it with 600 of your closest friends at the 2025 National Landcare Conference.
The call for abstracts is now open for the conference centred around the theme – Landcare: Nature, Agriculture, Land and People Positive.

The National Landcare Conference brings together landcarers, farmers and natural resource managers connect, share stories and best practices, explore innovation, build partnerships and inspire action in their communities.
If you’re passionate about landcare and have a project to share with your peers, abstracts are now open to enthusiastic individuals and groups including:
- Volunteers.
- Landcare groups and other community-led environmental groups.
- Traditional Owners and First Nations organisations.
- Land and sea Indigenous rangers.
- Landholders and farmers.
- Researchers and academics.
- Government organisations.
- Young adults. Organisations involved in protecting, enhancing, restoring and educating others about the natural environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities.
Presentation types
Insights can be shared through individual, panel or poster presentations across the following Stream Session Themes:
Nature repair and climate adaptation
Addressing the twin challenges of climate adaptation and biodiversity restoration through innovation, enabling capital, and education.
Technology and innovation for landcare
Harnessing cutting-edge technologies and approaches for sustainable land management and restoration.
Community-driven landcare
Strengthening community resilience through partnerships, storytelling, and inclusive participation.
Restoring biodiversity across landscapes
Collaborative approaches to enhance biodiversity in rural, urban, and remote settings.
Sustainable agriculture and soil health
Innovations for balancing productivity and ecological health on farms
Submission guidelines
Abstracts should be no more than 500 words and outline the objectives and outcomes of the presentation.
- Relevant to the stream topic description.
- Short engaging title.
- Originality.
- Connection to the conference theme.
- Practical call to action for delegates – how can your presentation help others to adopt your learnings in their community?
