Dr. Miranda Rew-Duffy is a fire ecologist and conservation scientist with a strong commitment to protecting Australia’s environment and people. In 2023 she completed her PhD which explored the effects of fire and livestock grazing on fauna species in Central Queensland.
Miranda has over 8 years of experience in undertaking fauna surveys across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with particular expertise in small mammals and camera trapping. Her expertise extends to ArcGIS, statistical analysis, experimental design, and science communication.
Currently, Miranda manages a diverse portfolio of projects focusing on enhancing resilience for both people and ecosystems against large-scale disasters. Her work reflects her passion for creating sustainable solutions that protect Australia’s unique biodiversity and its communities.
