Expressions of Interest – Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Opportunities
Healthy Land & Water works with community, industry, and government to deliver innovative and science-based solutions to challenges affecting our landscapes, waterways, and biodiversity. We help people understand the values and condition of South East Queensland’s environment so we can ensure the sustainable use of our natural environment long into the future.
We believe that maintaining healthy landscapes and waterways is not just important for wildlife and ecosystems. A healthy environment also supports a vibrant economy, strong livelihoods, great lifestyles and the happiness and wellbeing of the community. Through our work, we encourage people to examine and change their behaviours for the benefit of the natural world and for the people and places we love.
We have now commenced recruitment activities for the new financial year (FY23). Applicants who submit an Expression of Interest will be given primary consideration when we fill vacancies throughout this period.
Healthy Land & Water acknowledges that the place we now live in has been nurtured by Australia’s First Peoples for tens of thousands of years. We believe the spiritual, cultural and physical consciousness gained through this custodianship is vital to maintaining the future of the region. We celebrate and value the diverse skills and experience that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people bring to our workforce. We are inviting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People to express their interest in working with us via registering their expression of interest for future roles with Healthy Land & Water. Our Scientists, Engineers, and Project Officers are experts in research, monitoring, analysis, engagement, and project management. Our teams restore waterways and landscapes, improve native habitats, manage weeds, protect native species, and educate communities on the best ways to improve and protect the environment for future generations. Opportunities are available across all business areas, including:
- Finance and Accounting
- Marketing and Communications
- People and Culture
- Project Management
Ideally, you will share our vision to support resilient regions and have a desire to connect through science and actions that will preserve and enhance our natural assets. You will be highly motivated and can work autonomously in agreed timeframes.
