Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre and partners
Connecting Community for Waterways involves students and the community collecting native seeds for prison inmates who are participating in horticulture training. Plants are grown and returned to the community for planting in waterway restoration and education activities.
This project is a joint effort between Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre, Save Our Waterways Now, Gold Coast Catchment Association, Nerang Riverkeepers, All Saints Anglican School, Gold Coast City Council Catchment Management Unit and Natura Education.
