2013 Winner: Lifetime Achievement Award
Wayne Cameron’s environmental volunteering commitment began on the banks of the Clarence River in Northern NSW over a quarter of a century ago. In the last 20 years he has concentrated on the waterways in Brisbane’s South-Eastern suburbs. Wayne was one of the inaugural members of Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) which was formed in 1997. He has been involved with starting 11 environmental organisations and has participated in more than 15 community & Council advisory committees (including Lord Mayors Flood Taskforce and the Biodiversity Advisory Committee).
