Social and institutional dimensions of waterway management

James Patterson has been actively contributing to the protection and improvement of waterway health in South East Queensland for over three years through his PhD research project and related activities. His project develops a new understanding of the social and institutional dimensions of waterways management, in order to enable effective implementation of collaborative management action for difficult non-point source pollution issues. Through learning from a range of prominent initiatives within the region, this project substantially furthers our knowledge of ‘what works’, what challenges remain and how we can improve our joint efforts to manage this critical issue.
