Julie has over 25 years of experience in senior positions within the water industry and an extensive and diverse background in water management. She has a passion for continuing to evolve the water industry through productive partnerships, and believes ongoing investment and action are crucial to support the environment, economy and essentially our way of life.

Julie’s demonstrated leadership and communication skills have seen her re-shape and further strengthen Healthy Waterways’ governance structure and partnerships. Her strategic initiative, stakeholder relations and foresight across the water cycle enhance Healthy Waterways’ unique ability to unite key stakeholders on waterway issues and required actions.

Julie’s expertise in strategic planning and partnerships is evident through her involvement in the development and delivery of several local and state government water strategies, NRM Plans, and more currently, leading Healthy Waterways’ involvement in the Council of Mayor’s Resilient Rivers Initiative.

Julie’s expertise expands across the areas of flood management, waterway health, stormwater management, water and sewerage infrastructure, capacity building and strategic leadership.

Through her experience delivering innovative total water cycle solutions for sustainable water supply, Julie understands the value and intrinsic links between the condition of our waterways, and the level of social and economic benefits they provide to local communities.  It is this insight that helps drive Healthy Waterways’ holistic, inclusive and whole-of-catchment approach to waterway management.
